Seven colours of thread, woven in rays of light, Younger eyes used to stand in awe, wide-eyed delight. Wowed at the Weaver's skill, a feast for the soul. This is the beginning of love, a love that wants to know. Then told that we must now understand, That we must not stand in awe, but answers demand. Unweave the rainbow, pull at the threads. Dissect the light rays, analysis. This wasn't knowledge birthed from love, but a thirst for mastery. The excitement wasn't discovery of beauty or of wonder. But that something was known, as a thing for discovery. That its facts were laid bare, the details ever finer The threads became just wavelengths, The light just a photon, The water droplets just atmospheric prisms, No deep meaning to ponder on. What they called analysis, I didn’t know was assassination. Ending not the object, but its glory. What they called dissection, I didn't know was destruction, Pulling apart the pieces with precision, miserly. Unweaving the rainbow, until there's nothing left. What they didn't realize, Under their progressive guise, Was that the mastery of the science, Made murderers of all of us. The bushes no longer blaze with glory, The stars no longer tell a greater story, The birds no longer sing the harmony, The mountains no longer evoke sublimity. I was asked to unweave the rainbow I didn’t know I was unweaving me. +

This is beautiful! However I think studying something scientifically more often than not glorifies God even more, but perhaps in a different way. Through science we can see God’s intelligent and creative design and come to know him better.
